Looking for courses in Italian? By visiting the websites of the schools listed here, you will be able to distinguish between those entirely devoted to teaching Italian and those offering Italian courses to complement other topics, such as art, fashion, interior design, cooking, etc.
The Italian language and culture schools recipient of the "Presa d'atto" (Acknowledgment) from MIUR (Ministry of Education, Universities and Research) were issued a positive report following an inspection by Ministry officers, and therefore are in a position to assure a higher degree of reliability in their organization and higher quality standards in their teaching.
Look over the websites of the various schools and check to see if they belong to an association which oversees the quality of the services provided and accredits these schools in relation to their patrons.

It is also important to find out if the schools are recognized as institutes of formal training and are certified to issue certificates attesting a knowledge of the Italian language.
For all those schools which fail to meet these requirements, it is highly recommended that their website be thoroughly examined to see if they contain clear and precise information regarding:
- the financial arrangements for enrollment in courses (costs, deposits, return of deposits in case of cancellation);
- the location of the classes (buildings, classrooms, infrastructure, technical facilities);
- type of housing made available to students (cost and location);
- teaching staff (credentials and experience);
- teaching material.
