The European Film Festival “Europe on Screen 2009” takes place in October and November 2009 in nine cities across Indonesia, i.e.:

· Yogyakarta (30-31 October)
· Bandung (2-3 November)
· Jakarta (6-13 November)
· Surabaya (14-15 November)
· Banda Aceh (16-20 November)
· Denpasar (21-22 November)
· Semarang (24-25 November)
· Medan (25-26 November)
· Makassar (28-29 November)

This year, the festival will highlight the theme “Faces of Europe”. Tickets are available at each venue 30 minutes before screening time. All tickets are FREE!

As a joint effort of the European diplomatic and cultural representations in Indonesia , the European Film Festival was held for the first time in Indonesia in 1990 and followed by the second festival in 1999. As of 2003, the European Film Festival in Indonesia has been held annually.
